More about International Funeral Parlour

International Funeral Parlour was already established in the 1940s. It was initially a private-owned funeral parlour located in Fenwick Street. Until the 1950s, it was purchased by Mr. Siu Ming who was known as "Funeral King". International Funeral Parlour moved to North Point in the early 1960s. The Wan Chai old site was turned into the famous East Town Theatre.

In 1971, Mr. Siu Ming lent the fourth floor of the parlour to Tung Wah so as to open North Point Funeral Parlour to provide economic funeral services to the public. Subsequently, the whole parlour was even donated to Tung Wah Coffin Home. After the take-over, Tung Wah started to prepare the relocation of the funeral parlour to Hung Hom. The new funeral parlour in Hung Hom was then opened in 1980 and operated until present.

TWGHs spent more than $40 million to carry out renovations in order to upgrade facilities in 2003.

International Funeral Parlour and Diamond Hill Funeral Parlour which is also operated by Tung Wah adopt Central Resource System. They share the use of 6 hearses and an 8-seat passenger van. In addition, the parlour is the first funeral organization in Hong Kong which accepts credit card payments.
